Intro

Hello. My name is Isaac Shabtay, 32 years old from Ontario, Canada. I have set this blog up to document my journey following Mark Knopfler’s “Get Lucky” tour during the spring‐summer of 2010. This is in much the same way I did for Knopfler’s 2008 “Kill to Get Crimson” tour (see the “Links” section), except that this time, I will be following the entire tour—starting April 8 in Seattle, Washington, and ending July 31 in Gredos, Spain. Similarly to before, though, you are more than welcome to sit back, relax, read and comment. All comments, positive and negative, are welcome. You can also subscribe to the blog’s RSS feed (see links at the right‐hand side of the screen), so new posts become available through your favorite RSS reader. Have fun, Isaac

Concerts in Italy: Will Miss My American Friends

Hello,

Before I post my blog entry about the show in Amsterdam earlier tonight (June 30), I’d like to bring something to your attention.

Earlier today I received some bumming news: the American bunch with whom I had so much fun hanging out in the UK, were supposed to come to Italy for four out of the five shows (all except Milan)—however, due to certain circumstances, they will not be able to make it.

I feel terrible about it because I was looking forward to spend time with Val, Jordan, Mike and Steve. I am certainly missing this.

They have four front‐row seats for each of these shows. As I know how much they would have liked to come to the shows in Italy, and how bummed they are, I decided to help them out by letting you guys know about it, in case you may be interested in purchasing some of those tickets.

All tickets are for sale at face value only; the details regarding the process of transferring ownership of those tickets are being worked‐out at the moment as those tickets were purchased through markknopfler.com.

A table showing the seat locations follows; note that ticket sales were done in US dollars; the price listed is the total price paid per ticket, including all associated fees.
